BA in Hispanic Philology and professor of Catalonian Language and Literature.

As a poet, he has published Al Marge, Lira de Bova, Desert encès, On s’acaba el sender, Joan Alcover Palma City Award, Estigma, Barcelona Juegos Florales Award and Josep Mª Llompart Critics Award, El salobre, Carles Riba Award, Pessoanes, Alfons el Magnànim Award and Writers’ Association Critics Award, Nura, Golden Viola at the Barcelona Juegos Florales, “Serra d’Or” Critics Award and National Critics Award, and Camp de Bard, Miquel de Palol Award.

He has also published the Castilian anthology Llamas escritas, a book of poems and narrations, Abissínia, the play Lokus, the first volume of his Dillatari and a book of notes and maxims, El rastre blau de les formigues.

As a translator, he has won the Cavall Verd Critics Award for Quatre poetes portuguesos (Miguel Torga, Alexandre O’Neill, Eugenio de Andrade, Jorge de Sena), and has translated the works of, among other authors, Fernando Pessoa, Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, Salvatore Quasimodo, Mallarmé…

His poetic works appear in the most important anthologies, have been translated into numerous languages and have earned him the title Writer of the Year and the Ramon Llul Award from the Balearic government.

Surrounded by forest and animals, he writes by hand, surrounded by candles, at his small cabin at Sa Figuera Verda.
