Lluís Foix (Rocafort de Vallbona, 1943). Graduated in journalism and in law. He has been awarded the Quim Regàs prize for journalism, and in 2016, he won the Premio Josep Pla, an award celebrating Catalan literature, for his book Aquella porta giratòria. His other publications include La marinada sempre arriba (2014) and El que la terra m’ha donat (2017).
At various stages between 1982 and 2000, he was editor, assistant editor and deputy editor of Spanish daily La Vanguardia. He launched the digital edition of La Vanguardia and was its editor from 2000 to 2007. He was a correspondent in London and Washington for over ten years. His news reports have covered numerous conflicts, elections and summits all over the world, and he has interviewed many world leaders.
He regularly contributes to La Vanguardia as a current affairs columnist. And he participates in various radio and television talk shows.
